The winners of the 2020 Essay Scholarship Contest were announced on January 24,2020 via email & telephone. With 9 winners from 6 separate states, the scholarship amount of $300 – $500 were awarded to help support the student’s educational pursuits.
The winners were selected from a pool of essay submissions by a third party reader, with the participants being the children of our sushi restaurant partners. The topics ranged from “my favorite memory with my parents” to “my family values”, and were written by students from grades 4-12.
Along with the scholarship award, each winner of the essay contest received an engraved scholarship trophy, as well as a scholarship certificate signed by the President of Route66 International.
“Just as we appreciate each and every one of our customers, we wish that this essay contest serves as an opportunity for students and parents alike to share a moment of gratitude for one another”, said Yul Park, CEO.
